Alexander Rayner

Alexander Rayner is eTourism Advisor with the United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO).  

He is responsible for UNWTO’s eTourism for Development Programme that was introduced to enhance the ability of UNWTO members, especially in developing countries , to make the best possible use of ICT in tourism development, management and marketing.   

Over the past 25 years Alex has gained extensive operational and strategic experience in many sectors of travel and tourism including; Attractions, Transport, Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, Exhibitions, Special Events,   Inbound Tour Operator , Travel Agency,   Destination Management Company (DMC) and in   Information and Communication Technology   (ICT).  

Alex holds a   Bachelor of Business   and a Graduate Certificate in   Interactive Multimedia , from the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS), in   Australia . Alex is a board member of the International Federation for IT and Travel & Tourism (IFITT) and a member of the   International Association   of Travel and Tourism Professionals (SKAL).
